What kind of support can I expect from the Crossing Minds team?

When working with Crossing Minds, you will receive hands-on support throughout implementation and for ongoing success. A dedicated team comprised of at least 1 ML engineer, 1 data scientist, and your success manager collaborates to integrate your data, prepare pipelines, deploy, test, and monitor all aspects of on-site personalization. We use Slack and email as primary communication channels for ongoing progress updates as well as when questions or problems arise. Ask to see a Sample Implementation Plan for your use cases.
About how long will it take to implement and deploy Crossing Minds?

Getting started with Crossing Minds will require about 10 hours of work – about 5 from the project lead or manager and about 5 from the technical or frontend lead. Of course, each business' scenario is unique and times may vary. We'd be happy to share a detailed implementation plan example with you to give you a better sense of each step.
How is generated revenue calculated?

Generated revenue only applies to conversion resulting to interactions with the Crossing Minds Service and/or Widgets and/or other features in connection with Crossing Minds Service, as follows:

  • Onsite Product Recommendations: Online conversion shall be attributed to Crossing Mindsif a consumer clicks on a product recommendation generated by the Crossing Minds Service and/or Widgets and then, in the next 48 hr, purchases the same product or variant that was recommended by Crossing Minds.
  • Onsite Category or Collection Recommendations: Online conversion shall be attributed to Crossing Minds if a consumer clicks on a category or collection recommendation generated by the Crossing Minds Service and/or Widgets and then, in the next 30 min or session, purchases any product or variant belonging to the category, theme or collection recommended by Crossing Minds.
  • Personalized Marketing Channels (Emails or SmS): visiting the Customer Store and subsequently making a purchase from any Crossing Minds marketing URLs, and/or email/SMS events in the next 30 min or session.
Are there other methods for establishing pricing besides generated revenue?

If for whatever reason Crossing Minds' generated revenue cannot be calculated, another pricing model we offer our customer follows the logic of Cost Per Recommendation Sets. For more information about what a recommendation set is, see below.
What is a Recommendation Set?

A recommendation set is a list of item IDs or product IDs returned when calling the Crossing Minds API. A recommendation can contain up to 64 recommendations. There are 2 types of Recommendation Set:

Standard Recommendation Set means a set of up to 64 recommendations obtained through the Crossing Minds API endpoint of pre-computed recommendations or file transfer.

Live Recommendation Set means a set of up to 64 recommendations obtained through the Crossing Minds API endpoint of recommendations or recommendations with context items.
What is a customized A/B test period?

A/B testing, also known as split testing, refers to a randomized experimentation process wherein two or more versions of a recommendations (across web pages, or emails, etc.) are shown to different segments of website visitors at the same time to determine which version has the maximum impact and drives business metrics.

A customized A/B test means that you will be able to deploy such an A/B test on specific pages or collection pages of your website, emails or SMS and measure KPIs that are important to your business. This also means that this A/B test can be used to compare 2 internal sets of recommendations or to compare how Crossing Minds' recommendations are performing against other (internal or external) personalization APIs you may be using.
