Crossing Minds was founded by a team of academics with a vision to solve how Artificial Intelligence predicts the uniqueness of individual preferences.
Alexandre received 3 degrees in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, and earned his first two Masters degrees in Mathematics and Machine Learning at the age of 23 from ENS Paris Saclay. He was offered a full scholarship to Stanford to pursue a third Master degree in Artificial Intelligence. He turned down the opportunity to do his PhD to focus entirely on Crossing Minds and Hai.
Emile completed his PhD in Statistical Learning in 2017 from ENS Paris-Saclay, the most prestigious French university for Applied Mathematics. The impact of his research is witnessed by numerous citations from the top conferences of Machine Learning and many other industries. The algorithms he invented are now implemented in several software libraries used by thousands.
Sebastian pursues research on Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Education, Human Computer Interaction, and medical devices. He founded Google's self driving car team after winning the DARPA Grand Challenge. Sebastian also founded Google X, where he helped create Google Glass among many other projects. We believe in dreaming big and cultivating the ability to deliver those dreams. We set the highest absolute standards for our work, with compassion for our partners, for the people we hire, and for ourselves.
We are here because we believe that rather than being hidden in the depths of academia or solely benefitting company profits, the best of Machine Learning should be directly and genuinely applied toward products that create transformational experiences for users and to address the unique challenges associated with the complexity of every individual.
